The brief, the decisions and the delivery

A website that brings the showroom experience online

The challenge

Cornwall Flooring and Home Co. helps customers choose flooring and interiors through its Wadebridge and Falmouth showrooms. Having created the business's brand identity, we were asked to bring that direction into a redesigned website with more useful content and an easier route to an enquiry. A customer comparing carpets has different questions from someone planning a whole room or specifying a commercial floor. The new site needed to accommodate those journeys, give both showrooms equal visibility and let the team update pages without losing the design.

Carry the identity into a brighter website

The navy and gold identity gave us a starting point for the website's typography, navigation and calls to action. We paired it with bright room photography, generous spacing and layouts that let people inspect flooring and interior details. The homepage introduces the range and both showrooms before directing visitors towards materials, services or a free measure. Range pages continue the same visual language, with galleries and practical information close together.

Build the pages around how people choose

We expanded the structure into flooring ranges, interiors, fitting services and buying guides. Someone can begin with a material such as LVT, explore beds and mattresses, or read about flooring for a kitchen or bathroom. Related links connect the guidance with relevant ranges and enquiry routes. Dedicated showroom information brings together directions, opening hours and contact details for Wadebridge and Falmouth. This gives the wider offer room to be explained without making the homepage carry every detail.

Make the custom layouts editable in WordPress

We built a bespoke WordPress theme with ACF Flexible Content and structured fields for ranges, services, guides and shared settings. The team can edit copy, images, galleries, links and showroom information within reusable layouts. Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js support the responsive presentation, navigation and interactions. Contact and free-measure forms turn browsing into a practical next step, with the measure journey able to collect room details and optional photographs.

Give the larger site a considered search structure

The migration from Squarespace included page titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, sitemap controls and redirects for existing routes. The content review gave individual pages distinct purposes and connected buying guides, ranges, services and locations through relevant internal links. We also worked on responsive image delivery and checked layouts, navigation and enquiry behaviour across screen sizes. These are technical and content foundations for SEO; search rankings and enquiry growth need to be measured separately after launch.

What we delivered

  • Website redesign and reskin building on the existing navy and gold brand identity
  • Custom WordPress theme with ACF Flexible Content and editable shared settings
  • Expanded flooring, interiors, services and buying-guide page structure
  • Dedicated Wadebridge and Falmouth showroom information and enquiry routes
  • Contact and multi-step free-measure forms with optional room photographs
  • Squarespace migration, route redirects and technical SEO foundations
  • Responsive image handling, mobile layouts and launch accessibility checks

The outcome

The WordPress website went live on 16 October 2026 with 38 public pages. It gives the business a consistent online presentation across flooring, interiors and fitting, while making both showrooms easy to find. Visitors can compare materials, read practical guidance and move into an enquiry. Behind the pages, the team has an editable content structure that supports future additions. The separate branding case study documents the identity work that came before this website.

Scope and launch details are supported by the client project records and the public website captured on 17 October 2026. The 38-page count describes the published launch site, not a search-ranking result. No before-and-after traffic, conversion, revenue or performance increase is claimed. Supplier room imagery is shown within genuine website screenshots, not presented as photographs of the client's own installations.

What the client said

Paul's review reflects our earlier branding work together, which provided the visual foundation for this website rebuild.

I have used Matt on 2 brand projects. He is an extremely talented, resourceful and responsive creative force. He produces results for businesses ranging from millions to billions in value in variety of sectors. Highly recommended.

What this means for your project

For a showroom business, a useful website helps people arrive better prepared. Organise content around the materials, rooms and questions they are considering, then connect that research to a local visit or enquiry. Build the editing system at the same time so new ranges, services and advice can follow the same clear structure.
