The brief, the decisions and the delivery
An event page with the energy of the room
The challenge
Interface Aesthetics provides medical aesthetics education and hosts Interface Expo, an event bringing practitioners, speakers and partners together in London. Its existing WordPress website needed an event page that could communicate the atmosphere of the conference while making a substantial programme easy to explore. We designed and developed that page inside the existing site. We did not design or build the wider Interface Aesthetics website, and the event film and photography were supplied client assets.
Open with the event, then let people take control
The hero pairs the client's event film with oversized typography, a white and gold Expo lockup, the date and venue, and a direct registration route. Visitors can pause or resume the film, unmute or mute it, and hide or restore the event details to see more of the footage. Mobile and reduced-motion visitors receive a still-image treatment. The work here is the visual design and implementation of the viewing experience, not production of the film itself.
Make a full programme easy to read
We designed the agenda as an editorial programme, with a clear timing column, session titles and presenter portraits. Full day, Morning and Afternoon links move through the programme without hiding sessions. Debate sequences have their own labels, and the in-page navigation keeps the main sections within reach. The agenda remains available as readable page content, so visitors can compare sessions without opening a series of accordions or downloading a separate document.
Connect the programme with the people behind it
A speaker carousel introduces the faculty through consistent portraits and clearly separated names and roles. Profile buttons open a biography without taking the visitor away from the event page; linked agenda portraits lead to the same profiles. Partner tiers and optically balanced logos have their own structured section. A moving photography gallery retains the original image proportions, with a pause control and a reduced-motion alternative. Together, these sections give the programme context without making every detail compete in the hero.
Build within the website the team already uses
We implemented a dedicated WordPress template with scoped CSS and JavaScript, drawing on the existing ACF event content. Registration calls to action connect to the client's Nunify booking flow. The work included responsive layouts, keyboard and focus behaviour, media loading, and checks against the surrounding website. We have continued supporting speaker, programme and page updates as the event develops. The wider relationship also covers website maintenance, LearnDash support, newsletters, email marketing, SEO and branded email signatures; those are separate from the public Expo page shown here.
What we delivered
- Bespoke Interface Expo page design within the existing Interface Aesthetics website
- Custom WordPress template using existing ACF event content, with scoped CSS and JavaScript
- Video hero with playback, sound and hide/show details controls
- Editorial morning and afternoon programme with presenter portraits and section navigation
- Speaker carousel and linked biography dialogs
- Partner-tier layouts, event photography gallery and venue presentation
- Registration routes connected to the existing Nunify flow
- Mobile and reduced-motion treatments, keyboard checks and ongoing page updates
The outcome
The redesigned Expo page is live within Interface Aesthetics' existing website. It brings the film, programme, speakers, partners and registration routes into one coherent event experience, with an interface the team can continue developing as the programme changes. The project sits within a longer working relationship that began with LearnDash support and has expanded into website and marketing work. Marcelo's review reflects that trust and ongoing collaboration.
Delivery details are supported by the Expo implementation records and public-page checks on 17 October 2026. Gallery images are genuine captures of that page, including a paused frame from the client's event film; they do not show private learning systems or staff email signatures. The wider website and the original film and photography are not credited as our creations. No ticket-sales, conversion, ranking or performance uplift is claimed. Event details can change after these captures.
What the client said
Marcelo's review describes our wider ongoing relationship, from LearnDash support to website work, email marketing and SEO. It is not a review solely of the Expo page.
We initially hired Matt for a specific project to help us improve and develop our LMS on LearnDash. He did such an excellent job that what started as one project quickly developed into an ongoing working relationship.
Since then, we have continued to give Matt more responsibility across the business. He now supports us not only with our LMS, but also with our website updates and maintenance, and more recently with our newsletters, email marketing campaigns and SEO.
What has impressed us most is his versatility and his willingness to take on new challenges. Matt is proactive, responsive and genuinely interested in understanding what we are trying to achieve as a business. Rather than simply completing a task, he looks for solutions and ways to make things work better.
It is quite rare to find someone you trust enough to keep expanding the scope of work you give them, but that has definitely been our experience with Matt. We are extremely pleased with the work he has done for us and very happy to continue working with him.
Highly recommended.

What this means for your project
An event page needs to work for someone watching the opening film and someone arriving with a specific question about a session or speaker. Give each a clear route, keep the programme readable and let people control moving media. A focused custom page can bring a new event identity into an established website without replacing the rest of the site.
