The brief, the decisions and the delivery

A defined Shopify contribution within an agency-led project

The challenge

Wiedemann Lampe approached MattDarm for assistance with Linnaean's Shopify shop for luxury cosmetics. The recorded contribution was to style remaining elements and ensure responsive presentation. It was a bounded development contribution, not ownership of every part of the shop or the client's wider ecommerce operation.

Work within the Shopify storefront

The shop's platform was Shopify. The contribution focused on the existing storefront rather than a documented replatforming project. No custom checkout, stock integration or backend feature is inferred from the visual work.

Complete remaining styling

The public delivery record identifies styling of remaining elements. The screenshots help show the presentation, but do not establish that MattDarm created the entire brand or original design direction.

Support responsive presentation

Responsive development was part of the contribution for Wiedemann Lampe. This is a useful example of a defined implementation role within an agency team, with credit and scope retained rather than presenting all work as a sole-agency commission.

What we delivered

  • Shopify storefront development support
  • Styling of remaining shop elements
  • Responsive presentation work for Wiedemann Lampe

The outcome

The portfolio records a completed contribution to the shop's presentation. The original 2021 delivery and gallery do not establish present-day platform configuration, conversion performance or customer retention.

Based on the existing public project record and screenshots. MattDarm's contribution and Wiedemann Lampe's agency role are stated explicitly. No revenue uplift, complete-store ownership or unrecorded integration is claimed.

What this means for your project

A useful development brief can cover one clearly bounded part of a larger project. Agree the components, responsive behaviour, review process and handover responsibility instead of assuming every supplier owns the whole store.
