The brief, the decisions and the delivery

Tailored WordPress blocks with an editable client interface

The challenge

The documented brief combined a responsive website with client editing in WordPress. Delivered together with Lightflows, the project used React to build Gutenberg blocks. The important distinction is a tailored implementation within an established CMS, rather than an assumption that custom work requires a separate application.

WordPress as the editing platform

WordPress remained the client's content-management environment. The public record identifies editability as part of the delivery, so it is more useful to explain the editing model than to present React as a business benefit on its own.

React-based Gutenberg blocks

React was used to craft blocks in Gutenberg. This connects tailored front-end components with the WordPress editor. The record does not specify an editor time-saving figure or establish that all components were built from scratch.

Agency collaboration and responsive delivery

The website was constructed together with Lightflows and delivered responsively. The agency credit remains explicit. These notes do not attribute the wider brand strategy, copywriting or marketing programme to MattDarm.

What we delivered

  • WordPress website development with Lightflows
  • React-based Gutenberg blocks for client editing
  • Responsive website presentation

The outcome

The delivery record and gallery show an editable WordPress website with tailored block development. This is evidence of implementation scope, not a measured improvement in traffic, editing speed or lead generation.

The original 2021 portfolio record supports the platform, agency collaboration and responsive development described here. Client analytics and operational before-and-after measurements have not been supplied for publication.

What this means for your project

When comparing developers, ask how your team will update the actual page types. Request a representative editing demonstration and clarify the agency's and developer's respective responsibilities before agreeing a build.
